"B" Ordinary Attire
SHIRTS
Colors: red, white, navy blue, and hunter green
Styles: All shirts must have a collar. Acceptable collar styles include Polo, Oxford, turtleneck, mock turtleneck, and Peter Pan. Long sleeved shirts in school colors may be worn under the short sleeved polos.
SWEATERS/SWEATSHIRTS/VESTS
Colors: red, white, navy blue, and hunter green
Pocket logos are allowed.
Styles: Button, snap, or zip-up are acceptable. Colored or trimmed edges are allowed, but should be kept to a minimum.
Collars must be worn with sweater, sweatshirts, and vests with the exception of the St. Rose School hoodie. The only hoodie allowed is the St. Rose School hoodie.
SLACKS
Colors: navy blue, black, or khaki
Styles: Dockers style/NO blue jeans.
Pants can be cotton, polyester, corduroy, or cargo.
Knit/Elastic waist pants may be worn with skirts but shall meet the school color code of navy blue, black, or khaki.
SHORTS
Colors: navy blue, black, or khaki
Styles: Dress shorts, NO athletic shorts. Shorts may not be shorter than mid-thigh. Shorts are allowed during the months of August-September and May-June.
DRESSES/SKIRTS/SKORTS/JUMPERS/CAPRIS
Colors: navy blue, black, or khaki
Styles: Skirt length must be longer than the child’s fingertips when standing straight with arms at her side. Girls may keep a pair of shorts at school to wear under skirts/dresses for outdoor modest play. Dresses, skirts, skorts, jumpers, and capris may be worn anytime during the school year. Girls tights and socks above the ankle must be of school colors.
SHOES
Colors: There are no color restrictions concerning shoes.
Styles: Athletic shoes must be worn on gym day. Sandals or clogs must have straps (no flip-flops). Heels up to 1” (no platforms). Socks must be worn in compliance with school dress code policy. Neon socks are NOT permitted.
Boots worn outside for inclement weather are not to be worn in the classroom.
A pair of shoes should be brought to school to wear in the classroom during snowy weather.
"C" Casual Attire
TOPS
Shirts with pictures or commercials that are inappropriate, including but not limited to, alcohol, drugs, violence, or skulls and may NOT be worn.
Dresses and jumpers are permitted.
The following are NOT permitted:
Sleeveless or cut-off tops, tops which show a bare midriff, exposed straps, off the shoulder, low cut, or overly tight tops.
Tank tops or cut-away shoulders.
BOTTOMS
Nice jeans, athletic pants (no tear-a-ways) free from holes and fray
No overly tight pants.
SHOES
Same as ordinary attire
The Dress Code will be reviewed each year during the early spring.
